About Jack
Jack is a UK trained Consultant Liaison, Renal & Transplant Psychiatrist working as Clinical Lead for the Department of Psychological Medicine at the Royal London and St Bartholomew's hospitals in East London.
They have particular clinical expertise in capacity assessment in the context of chronic physical illness, formulation of psychological distress in the general hospital setting, and management of mental illness in those with significant physical health comorbidities.
Jack's special area of interest is psychiatric assessments for those receiving or donating organs for transplant. This encompasses capacity assessments, psychiatric optimisation, and collaborative work with medical colleagues.
Jack graduated medical school at the Peninsula College of Medicine & Dentistry in 2015. They became a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists in 2021, and achieved a dual CCT in general and older adult Psychiatry with a sub accreditation in Liaison in 2025, prior to being appointed to their first substantive Consultant post at the Royal London hospital in February 2025.
Outside of work, Jack enjoys travel, cinema and food (cooking and eating).
